With S/4 HANA there are important new features for predictive accounting. With the latest version, in fact, new ledgers are introduced, in addition to the main one: we are referring to the extension ledger, which allows you to save data in predictive mode. In other words, if the operator in the company enters in the system a purchase order, a sales order, or even credit note requests or debit note requests, the system integrates and writes the content in a dedicated accounting ledger.
This is a very significant and innovative aspect because this innovation makes it possible to have in a single accounting database all records: both final and committed, on dedicated ledgers. The operator can therefore analyse both final and committed values. No information is then divided into different documents and different accounting objects (cost centres, internal orders, orders, etc. …).
